Hey there from a home from 1969

Hello everyone,

I just bought my very first home. It was a short sale and had its share of issues.

I closed on Friday and so far I've done contracted out quite a bit of work:

-Replace water heater and bring up to code
-Replace furnace and bring up to code
-Replace PVB joint for sprinkler
-Replace plumbing under the sink and bring up to code
-Replace sewer line from house from clay to PVC
-Terminate a live wire hiding behind the microwave


DIY:
-Tear out carpet, pad and staples
-Remove microwave and its brackets from the wall

I just posted a question about a DIY for options to my new microwave hole.

I'm hoping to come in here and get a lot of advice because I am so new to this.

Welcome to the forum. We bought a short sale a couple years ago and redid everything. Great way to get going without breaking the bank. You will get a lot of great advice here. Great bunch of guys.
