Hi,

My small condo came with an LG combo washer/dryer, which doesn't use a dryer vent. After 10 years, the LG has died, and I'm thinking of getting a small stackable washer/dryer to squeeze in the closet. This type of unit does require a dryer vent. Would I just hook up the slinky silver tube from the back of the dryer to this vent in the picture? I am on a first floor condo, and I don't even know where the vent comes out, but I'm assuming it's a vent.

Thanks a lot

Ask the HOA or your neighbors, or, there are non toxic, colored, leak detection smoke bombs.

What do you see when you look into the tube?
Is that an outside wall?
Go outside and look in that area.
Is there 240 volt avalible to run that new dryer?

That is logical for a laundry location. The HOA can help quickly. Also, there should be an exhaust point, with a flapper, on the exterior wall. Also, you can ask your neighbors how they hooked up their W/D !
