Hi Everyone,
Not sure if I post this thread in the right section. Perhaps it should be in the plumbing category.
I have this old electric shower Kohler Mira Vie 8.5
https://resources.kohler.com/plumbi...vie-2007-2014-installation-and-user-guide.pdf
It was working fine for years at least 6+ years until I said out loud that this device is so reliable things start failing.
I think 1st the double pole switch has given up, it was replaced then couple weeks later the shower gave up.
What I can see is that the switch is not reacting (does not work at all) but the interesting thing is in the dark I can see that the light (on/off switch) when button is OFF the light is on but dim and it keeps flickering. When I press the button then the light goes off and shower does not engage.
Is this the issue with the switch itself or replacing the whole thing makes more sense?
Please advise.
Best regards

Get yourself a volt meter and test the switch. R&R as needed.

I am afraid it's not the end of the voyage!
I overlooked an important bit and ordered the wrong switch - 416.53 is a momentary switch.
What I need for this unit is 416.48 which is a latching switch (that stays depressed).

The problem is you can still get the 416.53 but 416.48 is listed as discontinued and I cannot find any on sale.
https://www.showerdoc.com/mira-latching-switch-sport-416-48https://www.uk-spares.com/products/showers/mira/mira-41648.html
There is a MK2 latching switch 1789.085
https://www.showerspares.com/search/mira-jump-mk2-latching-switch-1789.085/but the orientation of the pins is that it prevents the installation on this unit.
I think there won't be enough space to connect cables up or even fit it in in this relatively narrow space.

There is this switch Expressions switch that look similar to my existing but not sure if this is going to work.
https://www.showerdoc.com/redring-push-button-switch-expressions-500s-93597891I reckon this is done on purpose so owners of these showers are pushed to buy a new unit rather than fixing the existing because there is no spares.
