Need a recommended spackle for ultra smooth surface

Hello, I am looking for spackle where I can sand an ultra smooth wall I am trying to repair a wall that has been sprayed painted so it is ultra smooth. The wall has about a half an inch gashes that I like to repair. I don't want to spray paint it, but if I can use paint thinner, a brush for smooth surfaces and some ultra smooth spackle and use a 600 grit or higher sandpaper to get it smooth as possible.

Can you recommend a spackle that can be sanded for ultra smooth surface.

I did my wall in my media room to be painted for a front projection screen surface and it had to be ultra smooth and all I used was regular drywall compound in a can.
