Hi! We are in the process of buying a new home. The kitchen currently has a flat glasstop electric cooktop. We want to replace it with a gas stove. This cooktop is on the center island in the kitchen. It also has a downdraft.
There is a gas fireplace across the center island.
My question is
1. Is it possible to pull a gas line from under the floor to the island for the gas cooktop?
2. Would it require damaging the floor?
3. What would be a reasonable cost of something like that in the state of Texas?
We are currently in the option period for next 5 days and will have to make a decision based on 'IF' the above can be done in our budget without damaging the current floors.
TIA
