So, to be clear, I know nothing about roofing. Zero. Zip.

Hired a professional company to install a roof on my parents house a few weeks ago. Got a call yesterday they were going to roof the house today and I was concerned because the forecast for today was rain up until noon. Early this morning I get a call that the company is already at the house stripping the shingles and a storm hit. Soaked the bare wood for about 10-15 min until the worker could get tarps on it. After the rain, the put down the roof felt(?) and shingles over the wet roof decking.

My question. Will this cause issues down the road or is it ok? How will I be able to tell if there was any damage? When I asked the owner what happened, he told me there was a miscommunication with his team. Appreciate the feedback.

The wood decking will dry out. You have air circulation underneath. Did you have any interior damage to the house from water? I'd be more than a little upset.

The front of the house is the work they were doing after the rain. I’m assuming the ripples in the underpayment isn’t an issue. The blue tarp photos show how much of the roof was stripped when the storms hit.

you wouldn't be the one to be surprised by a pop-up shower. should dry out before any negative side effects occur. The felt (although looks like synthetic) will breath and allow for drying.
P.S.- love how the guy in the grey hoodie is tied off, destined to hit the ground before any safety occurs.

It was tarped.
Little water got through.
Any wet sheathing will dry towards the inside.
Stop worrying.
