Yesterday, slept in till 10... Stayed up to watch Florida sweep Carolina... and then got caught up on SWAT, and Chicago PD. So was up till about 2:00 am... Went to the dog park, then down to the St. Lawerence to see if any ships were going by. Then we ended up at the health store, wanted to go there for quite some time now. Picked up some Wheat Grass powder and some Chaga Tea...

SWAT and PD are 2 of my shows, seen every episode except for the last 2 of each, the CBS and NBC apps make you wait a week after the broadcast. In my studies, there's questions about whether Wheat Grass is digestible or not. I regularly consume it and want to get to the conclusion on that.
Life skills have changed, and I think totally in the wrong way...The government has taken over way to much, and home isn't doing enough... and neither are schools. I find the government has tried or is taking over our lives way to much, at least here in Canada... (but that's another story which I am very involved in trying to fight the government who is trying so hard to turn us into a dictatorship... But again, that is a completely different story

Yep, we are both under dictatorships. I don't know anything about Canada politics besides the doofus "in charge", but here it's all one party with 2 ugly heads that never do anything for the people.
I think they should go back to teaching sex and stuff till at least grade 5... and let children decide what they are. I used to work for the school board system and was so surprised by how grade 5 kids dressed, they were looking like little *****'s. The schools should have never let these kids in schools dress this way... But they did, and it is just got worse. What sex they are, they should be the sex they were born with, and when they get old enough to understand these things, not for the parents, or schools, or anyone to decide but the person who is wondering these things. I visited some of the people I used to work with over the years and was so surprised to see transgendered bathrooms... What the phuck... I am sure there were humans like this when I was in public school, and they went with the sex they were born with and discovered later in their lives.

Yeah, but that's just common sense, which is why we are in this situation... The gubment doesn't have ANY sense, much less common sense.
For drag queens, I always thought it was entertainment, not for me, but lots of people support them. Even our lacking Prime Minister donated a pile of money to it, but as I said, that is a different story... Our Prime Minister is donating money everywhere except for the people of Canada. If we are all broke from the taxes he's charging us and we are broke, he can push us into dictatorship...

Yep, should be exactly that... Entertainment for gay people that want to be entertained by it in gay clubs away from the view of Children. That shouldn't be a difficult to understand Rocket science idea, but apparently it is. Target and Budweiser are losing massive market cap, I hope their stock never recovers and they go out of business.

Planning to hit the Farmers Market to get some gluten-free treats and a bottle of moonshine that is between a good scotch and tequila... and then hit a few garage sales. Then home, and I want to put some episome salts on my tomato plants, and the Blue Spruce I planted in memory of my Mom... Then hopefully get that light installed, and then get ready for the hockey game tonight...

So Folks, hope YOU all have a GREAT day... and again Happy Memorial Day... Have a GREAT long weekend...

Cheers~
Mike
Morning, at 1035... Pretty much done with Bourbon until November, can't drink then wake up and mow the lawn or mess with sprinklers etc... Drinking is the only professional sport in Montana though. I did find my favorite Whiskey, Redneck Riviera. It tastes good, not harsh and is only 40/80 so it doesn't result in a hangover really.

You're excused as a Northern friend, but it's not Happy Memorial Day... It's a weekend of remembrance. Veterans day is the more happy version.

I solved my air fryer plug problem with a 3 to 2 prong adapter, easy to plug/unplug. I could just break off the ground pin so the plug could be rocked a bit while unplugging but I hate to do that. I have a switched power strip but it would create a new problem. The cord is too big and unwieldy for inconspicuous mounting.

I think for the mobile island a concealed 2 wire power strip with the cord removed is the way to go. I found one with a detachable cord but it had a surge protector and was too blocky to conceal under the counter. For ease of connection on the island I envision securely mounting one of these plugs on the end of an under counter power strip and using a mating adapter on the end of a 2 wire 14 AWG extension cord.

Proofing yeast for a loaf of sandwich bread. The yeast has a best by date of July 01/2015 so I want to be sure it is alive and well before proceeding. I see bubbles but will let it grow a bit before adding ingredients.

Ruby and I flew to Sacramento (with Ruby’s mother, Linda) to attend our grandson’s High School graduation.

Here’s Ruby and her stupid looking husband…

We were having lunch at the Tower Cafe’ and I had a flat bread with curry chicken and some kind of cucumber salad. It was pretty good.

That’s hummus on the left.

I had lunch with my old friend, Paul, at Lil’s Mongolian BBQ in Sacramento. We used to have lunch here occasionally when we lived in California but I haven’t eaten here in almost 3 years. Not much has changed.

You dish up your meat, veggies, and fruit (if you want) into a bowl and then a guy (or guys) walk around this round hot plate to cook it. I guess it’s a real Wok. Anyway, it’s delicious.

Mongolian BBQ is great, had an all you can eat joint in WA, but try as we did, it didn't make much sense compared to just ordering a bowl off the menu.

I wish I had 4 Stomachs like a Cow. Maybe I'll get rid of a Kidney and put in an extra Stomach.

Then I'll go to all you can eat joints... It will be fun for a while, but they will ban me.

Eddie, cutting off the ground plug is not a good idea. A power strip with an off switch would be a better/safer option.

I'm like Havasu and hungry! LOL. Nice pics, Ron!

Could not find some of the caulk I bought anywhere. Searched all over the house and in the truck. No idea where it went so I went to the store to buy more. Hardly anyone in there. I forgot one thing on my list but I can go back later IF my friend is able to come out. If he's not able to come out today I'll grab it when I pick him up possibly tomorrow. I think Walmart is still open then. Mom wanted to go to DMV on Monday but I reminded her it will be closed.

I got the corner trim primed. Got better roller covers to use to paint but am waiting to find out my friend's availability before painting as I'm not sure how long it will take to dry.

I cleaned some stuff out of the truck-- need to do more later, put air in the front passenger tire, organized some stuff in the front room a little bit, and am ready for a brief nap. I've been a night owl because the heat in the day makes me want to hibernate.

I forgot to mention that yesterday I was able to raise my left arm up from the side all the way up above my head without having to push or pull it up with my other arm. I can get it almost to the center above my head to touch my hands together over my head. I still have aways to go on getting full mobility back, but at least its now strong enough to move that far on its own.

I'm with Flyover on that. If the cord is too long you can cut it shorter and splice. Better than cutting the ground off the plug. Although, you may be able to find a power strip with a short cord. They have some with only 3ft cord.

I forgot to mention that I saw a red eared slider in the road on my way home. I stopped and nudged it with my foot until it was safely off the road. It was very confused. LOL. Didn't pick it up to see if it was male or female. Concave lower carapace is male and convex is female.

My apologies but it's hard to explain to others what my goal is. Basically it is to have a simple one hand connection to power a mobile kitchen island. A shorter power strip cord won't achieve that goal. Today I am thinking simple is better and am leaning toward just removing the cord and back feeding a 2 wire power strip. Two wire strips have 3 hole receptacles just no ground. Ground serves no useful purpose here especially with a plastic or polymer appliance such as the air fryer. Another plus is the flexibility of 2 wire extension cords. For super flexibility I could make an adapter cord using silicone drone battery wire and polarized plugs.

Cooking jollof rice today for the first time. My next-door neighbor at my last house was a Ghanaian woman who had a side business doing catering. Her jollof rice was apparently so good that Nigerians in the area would secretly ask her to cater their events (there's a long-standing "jollof rice war" between the two countries). I've only ever had her jollof rice, and it was definitely amazing. I could eat it by the gallon.

My old neighbor used goat meat in her jollof rice, and I know a place near my current house where I can get that, but for today I am using chicken that I grilled a few days ago specially for this dish. I didn't even dare ask her for her recipe; I'm using Chef John's, which according to the Youtube comments is both Ghanaian- and Nigerian-approved.

I'm going to contact my State House and Senate reps to offer up a bill called the "Cat control act" or "Cat extinction act" or something like that... Basically like California, there will be border checks. Instead of Fruit like CA, it will be for cats that aren't fixed. Any cats coming in will have to have docs stating they have been fixed.

Also, any existing cats will have to be fixed. If the people can't afford it, there will be free fixing clinics if they can prove their low income. Strays will be picked up and fixed by Animal Control. With my plan, cats should be very rare here in 15 years.

If I would have gotten the actual Tazmanian Devil from the cartoon, he would have done less damage because he would have been polite and used the designated bathroom at least.

How can people think there is ANY redeeming qualities for a cat? Sure, they are cute as kittens, but they are Terroristic monsters. Before I list this house, I will have to replace a good majority of the drywall and all the flooring just to start... It will make Ron's renovations look easy.

My cat Itsy has been good about catching mice. The rest, not so much.

Eddyie, would this flat extension cord be too thick? https://www.amazon.com/Appliance-Extension-Cord-Conditioner-Refrigerator/dp/B09QB46PGM
Or maybe you could get one of those ones for lamps that have a switch?

Pictures might help. I think they might sell something to add an outlet to an island but I'm not sure.
You can put cables in raceway covering.

I helped Mom with her phone by putting her screen protector and case on it. Painted the corner trim. Picked my friend up & got him some food. We got the surround glued up. Need to wait for him to be available to help me with the trim.

Apparently I am capable of making jollof rice that is very very tasty. My wife and I both ate two heaping platefuls. But I am not (yet) capable of making it on the level of my former neighbor. I was spoiled by having hers be my introduction to the dish.
