I finished scraping the linoleum off the laundry room floor, that was a blast!
The next issue I’ve run into is the backdoor. I bought a 1/4” piece of concrete board, and put a piece of tile on it, (which is also 1/4” thick). When I go to open the door, I have maybe 1/8” of clearance between the bottom of the door and top of the tile. I’m thinking mortar under the backer board and the tile will be more than 1/8”, causing the door to not open. Especially if I have to build those tiles up to keep them level, as they’ll be the last tiles I install.
I know about the fabric rolls that I could use, but I’m looking at around $80 for backer board and screws, compared to $160 for two rolls of fabric paper.
So my question is, will the mortar raise the level over 1/8”? Also, I can’t trim the door because it’s metal.
