Hi
I'm afraid I'm a complete novice, so I apologise if this is a stupid question!

I'm considering putting an offer in on a flat but there is something that is puzzling me.

There is six inches of 1 inch plastic pipe sticking out of the back of the house between the two floors dripping every few seconds. It is the same on the whole row of houses - people are just letting them drip on the path causing big wet patches and moss - or sticking buckets under them. Can anyone tell me what this is? And whether I can run it away and down into the drain, which is around the side of the house a few feet away and how much that might cost?

Any advice extremely welcome
Thanks
Kate

Welcome to the Forum Kate:
Yes, you can run the condensate line around the corner of the house. It will cost maybe $20 (is that about 5 pounds?). Ask the pipe supplier for a running trap to put on the end of the line. It will hold a small amount of water and drown bees and bugs that might try to come in.
