It may be that they just vary depending upon breeding because I see a difference in these two pictures. What got me thinking was why not breed for perkier ears. It would make the natural look better and maybe easier to make stand for the pointy ear people. IOW a win-win.

Actually after I posted I thought maybe those not into woodworking could mount speakers in a pair of cheap chinese ukes. The guitar shape is more aesthetically appealing IMO. However a cheap uke can be less than $15 and the wood would actually resonate.
