Its not exactly small, but this is the air fryer I have now. Although, this one was actually cheaper at the time we got it.

Sadly, potatoes are very high carb-- the lighter colored they are the more carbs they have. I eat things with cauliflower as a substitute for potatoes sometimes and its still good but not as good as potatoes. My uncle grows blue potatoes but I don't know how they taste. Sweet potatoes (when eaten in large quantities) can affect hormone levels. It apparently makes women more fertile. I'm post-menopausal so that's not an issue for me.

Spicoli, maybe the putting the cookies in the fridge is to help them maintain shape? I have no idea really.

I got up and brought in all the PVC trim stuff that my friend set on the porch. Took me several trips. I have the boards propped up against a wall. The L-bead trim is stretched out across the room. I brought in another trim piece to my bathroom, took some measurements and cut it to size. Did a dry fit of it with the wall panels-- which turned to be a royal pita because I had the hardest tome getting the back wall panel in. Dropped it on my foot a few times. It's not that heavy but its bulky. I was swearing up a storm.

Then I headed out to get some corner trim from HD that I ordered. They didn't have it in shorter lengths so I got it at 12'. On the way I realized Mom never gave me the new insurance cards and claimed she had but I know she didn't. I didn't want to play Jenga with the pile of crap she has on her desk to look for the cards so I popped into the insurance office and asked for copies for both vehicles. Then on the way to HD with some 🤡s driving 10 to 15minles under speed limit in the fast lane that I had to get around. Got the trim and back into town to pop into the local walmart to return the crappy HP printer. I wish I'd stopped at the Walmart up in the other town because I wanted some stuff from the deli. Deli at the local one is closed with claims of something wrong with the water.

Grabbed some salads, bid farewell to the crappy printer (flipped it off one more time as I departed the returns desk), got home, unloaded the new corner trim pieces, and did some measurements in my bathroom. The ceiling in the laundry room and guest bathroom is just under 9'. The ceiling in mine is apparently just under 8'. It was probably 8' before ceiling tiles were added.

After that I took a much needed nap and am just waking up.

I had an Air Fryer like that, but it wouldn't stop smoking, so I returned it to Costco... It did a great job, but that "burn off" period lasted much longer than they said it would.

I'm giving up on cookies, they haven't been my thing really my whole life, so no biggie... I'll use the flour for Biscuits and Gravy.

For your renovation, I can't comment without pics.

I went to Lowe’s yesterday to buy some wood to make a barn door for our bedroom. It will be 57” wide. I’m using 5.5” wide tongue and groove planks with a 1x4 frame.

Similar to this but wider…

Then I installed 3 new blades on the lawnmower. Changed the oil, air and fuel filters and changed the spark plugs too.

I was going to do the barn door... Watched a long video, planning in my head etc, then I realized I don't have anywhere I can put one in the house...
We actually have a bonafide need for one. Ruby wanted to make the opening smaller and install a pocket door but that would involve a lot of structural work since the opening in question is in a load bearing wall. The area above a pocket door has to have a header installed. A barn door doesn’t need any of that.

I could put a 2 sided barn door in front of the large front window... Just another target for the cats though.

I really have to get a portable Air Fryer, as my Potato experiment is ridiculous... I have probably two more weeks where I can use the oven, then it's off until late September... I'm not going to spend extra on AC just because I'm heating the house up.

Other than that, my only question of the day is how was Napoleon a dictator? I mean, the dude was 5'2" at best... Some say 5'7", but that was probably with the heel lift things. Out of all the Millions of French Men, there wasn't a few Giants at 5"10" that could say "Hey King Dude... See my balled up fist? See it hit the top of your head? Do you know what that means? You're not a Dictator anymore, shorty!"

Mine got past burn-off pretty quickly so that wasn't an issue.
It sounds like you want an outdoor rated air fryer. Not sure if they make them though.

Ron, I never was a big fan of the barn door style for my own stuff, but the barn door to my friend's kitchen looks nice. I found it for him super cheap on ebay-- hardware & track included. Hardware was missing when it arrived but the seller sent it when I told him (box had been damaged and left on my friend's porch). It was $100 less than other barn door slabs that did not come with hardware. Reminds me I still need to stain/paint the door for him.

Napoleon wasn't as short as people claimed. He was about average height for that area and time period. The confusion lies in the measurement system used. Something was lost in translation and they interpreted a unit of measurement or something being smaller. I forget the exact details but I remember they had a documentary on it. But, a person being small or weak doesn't mean they can't be powerful or be a dictator. It comes down to whether or not they can manipulate enough people to do their bidding & be loyal to them. Eventually that loyalty wore out and he was exiled- he was lucky he wasn't executed.

Spicoli, pics are in this thread: Improper plumbing & trying to remodel bathroom/laundry

Last night Mom was all out of sorts. Very confused and it had me worried. She refused to go to the hospital. I doubt the idiots here would have done anything for her though. So, I got her food-- I literally had to feed her-- put stuff on her fork and put it in her mouth. I also had to hold her drink for her so she could sip from the straw. After that she was feeling a bit better but still felt jittery. I spent a couple hours making sure she was OK before I was too exhausted to stay awake.

I messed up the alignment of the L-bead trim on the left side of the shower thing so I will have to remove the staples and fix it. Would help to have 2 hands but my friend is busting hump at 2 different casinos to remove all of the old company's arcades before tomorrow. Tomorrow is officially the last day of the company's contract with the casinos. They still owe my friend over $4k in PTO & gas/travel expenses. He might have to sue to get it. They claimed it would be mailed to him. He got a check for $200 but is still owed at least $4k. The text messages/e-mails show them confirming that they owe that amount though. So he has that as proof. They will owe him for gas/travel for these last few days as well. Will owe my brother too. Good luck to both of them with getting paid even their last paychecks though.

Stomach is not liking me today. Feeling nauseous and trying to rest some before I try to tackle more of the bathroom. I did go in and sweep up some areas. Need to vacuum but my back started complaining. Currently using cats as heating pads and resting.

I don't know about dictators but there once was an Aristocratic Potato that wanted to date Sean Hannity. Her parents were against it because Sean Hannity is only a Common-Tator.
Her favorite movie was The Silence of the Yams.

On a sad note. Posting this made me think of (and miss @RedneckGrump).

Good luck with your Mom, Z... I don't blame her, I wouldn't go to the Allopathic Death Chamber either. Hospitals are good for car crashes and other forms of broken bones, that's about it.

I need to research a good portable stainless steel air fryer. I can't use those nonstick ones, the chemicals involved are endocrine disruptors at the very very least, and probably carcinogenic. They say "No PFOA / PFAS", but it's the same as everything saying "No BPA"... They use BPS or one of the other 20 some Bisphenol chemicals...

Eddie, which air fryer did you get?

Spicoli, wish I could help with finding the right air fryer. Don't know what size you want. But I keep seeing the ones with nonstick coating.

Mom is feeling a lot better. I cooked dinner, put away leftovers, and am lying down because my stomach still hates me today. I did go into the bathroom and pull the staples out with a dental tool. Tooth scraper thingy fit under the staples and let me pop them out. Started feeling a little lightheaded so I am lying down with my feet up.
