Good afternoon all...
Had to go to Ottawa early this morning to see my Chronic Pain doctor... I was told I lost 20 pounds since February when we started the gym... So, that put a smile on my face, I knew I had lost some weight, but I didn't think it was that much... So another 20 pounds and my diabetic doctor will be happy... That will bring me to 204... Told her no more than that, or I think I would look sick... So maybe by December... Time will tell... So, just got up from a nap, driving to Ottawa stress's me up BIG time because of the way they drive in Ottawa...

While in Ottawa went to two places that sold parts for appliances, but they didn't have the part I need... So I guess I am going to Samsung, where it's $50 for one knob...

So, that was my day, nothing exciting, tomorrow morning I have to go to the tire shop where I am putting new booties on the truck, and an alignment... Going with a very aggressive tire this time... Going with Good Year Wrangler Ridgeline... They are normally $377 but got them on sale last week for $177...So that was a GREAT saving... So roughly $1100 for everything...

Saturday we are picking up my Chronic Pain Doctor's Pup for a week... He's a great dog... Going to be strange, but we are both looking forward to it again... We used to have a business at the other house called Lennie and Carl's Playhouse... But we closed the business when we moved down here...

But Fisher is a GREAT dog... it will be strange...but think it will be fun... and it's only for a week...

Now, I have a question for YOU all... Have any of you bought something you can spray on your upholstery so a cat won't scratch... Bought new furniture after Carl from Lazyboy... Bought some stuff last week at the pet store... but it doesn't slow her down at all... so if YOU have any ideas... Love to hear about it...

Have a GREAT day all
Cheer's~
Congrats on the weight loss! Are you doing Paleo / Keto?

I hate driving in any city, not to mention big cities... People in Seattle, where Cops can't pursue people anymore, are NUTS... It was never driver friendly there anyway.

What are "booties" for a truck?

Cats are Terrorists, you're screwed. The End. (Sorry, can't even say "Good Luck" with that.)

Nope, just doing the gym, plus we cut out Gluten... It's made a big difference...

The last time I was the Chronic pain doctor was in March, usually see him in his office every six weeks... Anyhow I was complaining my elbows were sore, which never are, and never hurt them in the accident... So he said... Mike cut all gluten out for the next month and see how you feel. So within a week and a half, the pain was gone, and was actually feeling better. So kept not eating gluten, but Lorie had to go out to her cousins for a few days, so she took the truck. Well, on the second day, I noticed I ran out of gluten-free bread. So I used the multigrain bread we always used, and within 2 days my elbows were aching, and my energy was disappearing again... When Lorie got home, we went out and bought more gluten-free bread, and now watch every label, and you would be amazed what wheat is in... We bought a small package of nibs to chew on, while we went for a drive, and jokingly I said did you check the label... she laughed and looked, and OMG, there was that word wheat... You would be amazed what has wheat and other gluten products... Blew us away...

So, yes we are gluten-free now... which is helping BIG time in weight loss too...

and yes Booties are new tires for the truck...

I don't think I have purchased from Pure Formulas. I might have visited their website when looking for bulk supplements.

Tried the air fryer. Spicoli you didn't exaggerate on the potatoes. I didn't have any russets so I quartered a couple of red potatoes, seasoned them and cooked them for 20 minutes at 400°F. I can hardly wait to try some russet fries.

Tried a couple of frozen White Castle cheeseburgers. Ten minutes at 390°F. Turned out kinda crunchy but turns out I like them thataway! I'll adjust the temp down a bit next time.

Now I've gotta figure out where to store this beast, petite it is not!

Eddie, Hmm... So the e-mail is inserting HTML coding for a table of some sort. Is it cut and paste? or is it just straight up typing into it? If its cut and paste open Notepad and paste into Notepad first and then copy & paste to e-mail?

Redneck, I'm glad to hear you lost weight. I've lost about 20lbs eating salads and trying to cut back on sugars. I'm glad the gluten free diet plus exercise are working. I didn't even notice you said booties. LOL. I saw the name of the tires and just thought it said tires. LOL.

Shan, I hope you get to rest for the rest of the week.

Today has been a mixed bag. My friend messaged that the two older kittens died. He fed them before leaving for work and came back to find them cold and stiff. No idea why they died. The poor little black kitten is all alone now. I might need to go over more while friends are at work to hold it and feed it.

Tried to find the charge for the misdelivered order from Fedex on the CC but it hasn't updated yet and I realized I was still not happy with the Fedex response so I contacted them again. Turns out they never acknowledged or admitted that they delivered the package to the wrong address. They still won't. I asked the CS person to put it in the system that they misdelivered. She refused. Said I would either have to get the vendor to file a claim or get them to sign a waiver for me to file a claim. In frustration and curiosity, I went over to the neighbor's house to see if the porch matched the pic. It did, but no package. One of the friendly dogs that likes to visit was there. I spoke to the lady in the trailer and she said she hadn't seen a package and I showed her a picture of her porch. She started searching around, then called her daughter in law to ask if she'd seen it. Then called her other son to ask him if he'd seen it or picked it up. No one claimed to have found it. The lady would have no need for the stuff inside and she apparently brought a package over to me that was from UPS a month or so back. UPS asked her to take it to me bc they didn't want to drive down our road.

Anyway, I decided to get pics of my house to show as proof. I showed it to the Fedex people, showed them the pic of the delivery location, showed them google earth map of the area showing my house & the trailer where it was photographed. I also noticed there was only one package but according to the log there should have been 2. Anyway, I got back and started talking in chat to HD associate. I gave the details and photos. They are refunding the $ and filing a claim with Fedex.

I use HTML format. I just opened a spam email clicked forward and copied a piece to paste for the example I often keep receipts of online payments by clicking forward and then moving to save or a special folder. My last problem to resolve was to forward a phishing email to paypal. I have used google docs but if I paste back into email files it's corrupted with formatting. On a one sentence email it will add <div> before and after the sentence. I can make it work by switching to advanced (AJAX) rather than default (HTML) but AJAX takes too many lines and makes inbox harder to read for dumping the clutter to trash.

No solution, just a taił; 2 nuetered pound pussies, spray deterrent, 1 reacted but the hunter gatherer would rub against the fabric and because the detergent formula was slightly sticky, by design, would stick to the fabric and demand to be extricated.

Project abandoned.

I can't say I've ever found anything that deters the little a-holes from scratching. Might see if you can put a scratching post near the area where they scratch. They also sell stuff you can attach to the sides & corners of walls & furniture that has built in scratching post stuff. But it looks really ugly. They also sell a clear plastic stuff that can go on, but again, ugly.

Good Morning Kids,

Yup, tried all that... got a couple of scratching thingies in front of the big window, bout 7 feet from new couch and chairs.. even put cat nip on them all, but she much rather scratches the new furniture... Now I leave her outside when we go out for a few hours...

Well, in another hour or so, will tour over to the garage to get my new booties (tires) on the truck and an alignment... Not much else planned today, may continue to work on the shop... But nothing else really planned for today, think it's suppose to get a little warmer than it has been the last few days...

Hope YOU all have a GREAT day...
Cheers~
Mike

Yeah, Wheat is horrific on our bodies. The Food pyramid in the US lied to us for decades with the "Food Pyramid", and since the 1950's about what is healthy / what isn't concerning fats.

I suggest the book "Wheat Belly"... I haven't read it, but have heard descriptions of it. Tons of Doctors I listen to reference it, but the Cliff notes version is Wheat causes leaky gut... If you have leaky gut, you also have leaky liver, leaky kidneys, leaky brain, leaky heart, leaky teeth...

Also tried these 3; Stelucca Amazing Shields Cat Scratch Furniture Protector, SMARTBEAM & KITTY CITY XL

The 1st garnered the same results as the spray deterrent, but added the alaskan husky needing extrication.

The 2nd & 3rd seem to work quite well, so far.

I guess I am just a person that is always wondering why. Why do people wear funny legged pants, leave a couple of shirt buttons unbuttoned, wear loafers without socks and the list goes on? Today the puzzlement that comes to mind is tatts. I saw this couple on the news due to a motorcycle accident and my why for the day is why do motorcyclists think they need tatts?

The couple in the pic both have what are known as sleeves which seem to be popular with both male and females and especially with cyclists. It's a very expensive fad and I have a niece (not a cyclist) that is well covered in tatts.

I've found it interesting, that some view it as an art form, and others as a deviation from the conventional, perceived, norms.

So, be as you be.

I wasn't thinking of differing from the conventional, perceived, norms. Actually the opposite, the perceived norm (or uniformity) for cyclists or certain groups of people.

I can't live w/o my gluten. I used to purchase high gluten bread flour for making yeast bread. I quit because of the price differential. It's sad that some have problems with gluten, lactose and such but that's life. A group of us helped a lady move and she fed us lunch. Her girls had baked yeast bread and cakes. I skipped the desert to eat more yeast bread slathered with butter.
